John J. Koselka (AV Rating, Martindale-Hubbell) is a partner specializing in
construction defect litigation, products liability, commercial
disputes, and employment litigation. John is national counsel for K2
Inc. and Finestone EIFS, representing these clients in courts across
the country at both the trial and appellate level. John has extensive
experience in trial practice, arbitration, and alternative dispute
resolution. From 1997 through 2000, John served as general counsel for
Simplex Products, a building products company, where he handled all
transaction, contract, employment and litigation issues. A graduate of
the University of Notre Dame Law School, John joined Kitch, Drutchas,
Wagner & Kenney, P.C. in 1993, where he primarily defended
hospitals in medical malpractice litigation, with special interest in
birth trauma cases. In 1996, John joined Garan Lucow Miller, P.C., a
litigation firm, where he specialized in negligence, insurance defense
and products liability litigation.
John is a 1988 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a B.A.
in History and Philosophy. As an undergraduate, he was a four year
monogram winner and 6 time varsity record holder on the Men's Swim
Team. He is president of Wolverine Aquatics, a US Swimming program
based in Ann Arbor, a member of the Foundation Board for the Adrian
Kiwanis Club, a volunteer for the Humane Society of Huron Valley and
the Michigan Humane Society. John is a member of the State Bar of
Michigan, the Washtenaw County Bar Association and the Lenawee County
Bar Association.
